12/3/2023 0 Comments Penny happy endings![]() “Well you know she’s been living for this moment her entire life… I don’t think that can deter Penny. That’s quite the brotastic wedding, but will it be enough to change Pete’s mind? Wilson seems confident of Penny’s powers of persuasion. Check out ’s exclusive clip below to experience the world’s best wedding informercial for yourself! In tomorrow night’s episode, “Our Best Friend’s Wedding,” Penny and Jane drag Pete to a wedding expo to show him every man’s dream wedding, complete with a blue cheese fountain, reggae music, and sexy sushi. She faints, and Penny cannot handle that.” Yikes! Hopefully she’s wearing her helmet! Wilson explains that Penny has been dreaming about her wedding day since she was a little girl, but there’s one gigantic problem: she might not get one! “The one thing Pete does is he says the worst thing Penny ever wants to hear: he says he wants to elope,” she says. Please excuse us for a second, we’re busy twirling around our offices like this. ![]() recently had a supa-cayut chat with Casey Wilson to discuss Penny and Pete’s ( Nick Zano) love life, and we’re still giddy over Wilson’s news: “Well I’ll tell you this: they’re getting engaged!” she says. It’s true, weddings have always been a special event on Happy Endings, so you can imagine our excitement when we learned that one of the sensational sixsome will be walking down the aisle very soon. Dave and Alex’s “I do’s” were interrupted by a random love-struck rollerblader, fans were introduced to the infamously quotable line, “What up skanks? Wheeee! Ugh I’m fat!” when Penny flaunted her fake fiancé Derrick at Sherhsow’s wedding, and, of course, who could forget when Mandonna reunited to rock the stage at Derrick and Eric’s tuxedo-filled nuptials? ![]() Three to be exact, and each one has been more amahzing than the last. Unfortunately, as good as Happy Endings is this season, I still think it’s had a significant drop-off from its masterful, brilliant second season. We’ve seen plenty of weddings during the past two and a half seasons of ABC’s wonderfully wacky comedy Happy Endings. The better news for Happy Endings fans is that rumors suggesting that guest stars refused to appear on the sitcom because of the casts cliquishness is not true (see also last week’s guest star, Mark-Paul Gosselaar). The interesting thing here is that Casey Wilson and Andy Richter are only 14 years apart, and the episode that Richter appears in this spring will address that issue, I guess in a That’s My Boy-like plotline. His latest gig is one of his best: As Penny’s Dad in Happy Endings. He has, however, kept busy with other projects, mostly voice work in animated series like The Penguins of Madagascar and The Mighty B!, but he also shows up frequently on beloved shows like Arrested Development, Chuck, and 30 Rock, obviously wanting to scratch a certain itch he can’t reach as a nightly sidekick. I just wish he’d gained the recognition he deserved apart from Conan. Eventually, he returned to Conan, and he’s great at what he does. He also made a miserable sitcom, Quintuplets, and a pretty good one in Andy Barker, P.I., but he remained best known as Conan O’Brien’s affable, hilarious sidekick. He made the brilliant Andy Richter Controls the Universe, one of the best cancelled-to-soon series of the last decade, and was never given his due. ![]() He gained fame, of course, as Conan O’Brien’s sidekick, but back in the early aughts, he decided to strike out on his own and gain some independent fame. For a guy who makes millions of dollars, has a steady job, and is recognizable to most people, I always feel a little bad for Andy Richter. ![]()
